This popular chutney can be prepared by using fresh mint along with coriander leaves. This chutney has the aromatic freshness of mint combined with the earthiness of the coriander. Serve it with Indian appetizers like tikkas and kababs or use it to prepare your favorite roadside snacks.

Makes 1 cup
- 1 cups chopped mint leaves (phudina)
- 1 cup chopped coriander (dhania)
- 3/4 cup sliced onions
- 1-2 tbsp lemon juice
- 5-7 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp sugar (optional)
- 2 to 3 green chillies
- salt to taste
- 1 pinch black salt
- Combine all the ingredients and grind to a smooth paste in a blender using very little water.
- Refrigerate and use as required.
