Besan 2 cups
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder ½ tsp
Red chilli powder ½ tsp
Ginger chilli paste 1tsp
Curry patta 5 leaves
Mustard seeds 1tsp
Green chillies 4 cut into 4 length wise
Oil 3 tbsp
Tomato sauce 2 tbsp
Sesame seeds(til) 1tbsp
Lemon juice 1tsp
Onions 3 finely sliced lengthwise
Green coriander for garnishing
Fruit salt or eno(blue) 1 pack or1 tsp
Mix besan, salt , turmeric powder, red chilli powder, ginger chilli paste, 1tsp sugar and 1 tbsp oil. Mix well and make a smooth batter with water. It should be of pouring consistency .
Take a microwave safe dish and grease it with oil.
Add 1 pack of eno to it mix well but gently . pour this in dish and microwave it for5-6 mins. Let it cool for some time then demould from the dish.
Take oil in a kadhai. Add heeng, curry pattas, green chillies, and stir fry. Add til, stir fry for 1 min, add onions and fry till they are very light brown,
Add tomato sauce, mix and then add 1 cup of water and when the water is hot, cut dhokla in to pieces and add to the onions. Mix very lightly so that all the pieces get sauce covering, cook for 2 min on slow flame.
Serve hot garnished with green coriander and grated coconut.
